My Life

Well, first of all let me just say that I broke my toe this weekend. That damn wall just jumped right out in front of me.

Secondly, I know that I get really frustrated with my life sometimes but all in all I am pretty happy with the way things have turned out. I just go back to last year and think about an unhappy marriage and a baby that was going to born into a bad relationship. Things just seem a lot better now. I can't even imagine having a baby at this point in my life and I am so much happier being single. I don't have to ask anyone to spend money and I can come and go as I please. I like having options. I feel sad for those people who try to conform to what others or society think that they should be. They are really missing out.

Love sucks. Being heartbroken sucks. Not knowing what I want to do with my life sucks. Knowing that I screwed up sucks. Life just generally sucks.

Wonderful Friends

Thank you to all of my wonderful friends who gave me wonderful birthday presents this year. You guys and girls rock!!!

Sigh

So once again I am single. However, he did give me the three best presents:

3) The first and only good 4th of July in my life
2) He completely surprised me - which is very hard to do

And the number one present was:

1) A birthday this year that took my mind off of the birthday I had last year.

So, even though we are not "together" anymore - thank you so much!

A Little Bitch Session

Now, I am not usually one who says "that is not in my job description" and refuses to help. However, if something is actually your job and you are just too lazy to do it, that does not mean that I have to do it - unless you are my boss. Or I actually like you. If you do not fit those two criteria then I am not helping you. Be a big girl/boy and do it yourself!

A Little "Utah-Sick"

So I have to admit that I am feeling a little homesick for Utah today. Here is a list of the five things that I miss most:

1. My fabulous friends
2. Training Table Cheese Fries and The Bayou sweet potato fries
3. Judge Valdez and Judge Oddone
4. Cafe Rio
5. Being only 30 minutes away from the mountains


Another visit to Utah may be in my future.....

However, I must tell the most romantic story ever which includes my fabulous new guy! Last night we went out for dinner and he completely surprised me with flowers waiting on the table and ordering my favorite food (fettucini alfredo). However, the best part was that he remembered tiramisu is my all time favorite dessert and had it pre-ordered. When we got the delicious treat it had a message spelled out in strawberry sauce. HOW SWEET!! The best part is that he completely surprised me which is very hard to do. He is earning major points with me.......

Apologies to All

Alright, I really am going to be better about updating this - I swear!! It is going on my favorites list right now. It is funny how things change so randomly. Last year at this time I was watching my marriage fall apart and wondering how I was going to make it. Now, I have an awesome new bf and am really happy. School is good, work is good, life is good. I am still working on making the friends. For some reason it is really hard for me to keep friends - I always seem to make them but cannot keep them. So things to work on: 1) blogging 2) keeping friends 3) remembering that everything in life happens for a reason. :)

A Little Complaining....

I also really hate people. I don't understand people who contradict themselves. For instance, when someone says that they really hate it when a boss checks up on their work and then they turn around and check up on yours. How annoying is that!?!?! And breathe......

Hiatus

So I have been on a brief hiatus but I am back and ready to delve into the dating world. This should be interesting for all of those around me. I have been pondering the last few weeks where one meets a nice guy. You can't meet them at work because it will only end messy; you can't meet them in bars unless you want to date a drunk. So where does a cute, single girl meet a nice guy?? That is what I am about to find out!! Stay tuned.....
